Built by Educators, For Educators
ClassJax combines decades of classroom expertise with smart technology to create planning tools that respect the art of teaching — while giving you back the time you deserve.
A partnership between Aurora Learning Community Association and GammaStream Technologies, Inc.
Our Story
ClassJax was born from a simple question: what if teachers had a planning assistant who actually understood teaching? We combined decades of classroom experience with modern technology to build tools that work the way teachers think.
The Aurora Learning Community Association (ALCA) brings deep educational expertise dating back to 1997, while GammaStream Technologies provides the smart technology that powers Jax. Together, we built planning tools that respect the craft of teaching while saving you hours every week.
A Legacy of Educational Innovation
The Aurora Learning Community Association (ALCA) has a rich history rooted in educational innovation and community support. Founded in 1997 through a U.S. Department of Education-funded Technology Innovation Challenge Grant Project known as The Aurora Project, ALCA has been integrating educational best practices, resources, and technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences for over 25 years.
Led by Gary Sacket, who served as Project Director from 1997 until the project's completion in 2002, The Aurora Project laid the foundation for what would become ALCA's ongoing mission. Gary brings over 32 years of experience in education, holding degrees in Science and Mathematics Education and receiving numerous accolades, including the Christa McAuliffe Fellowship and the Oklahoma IBM Teacher of the Year award.
Following the successful outcomes of The Aurora Project, ALCA was formally established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2002. Since then, ALCA has provided numerous tools and resources to educators, including standards-aligned curriculum maps, assessments, plan books, and professional development workshops, significantly contributing to improved educational practices and student engagement.
